The only way to reach these caves is by hiring a Longtail Boat at the Krabi Towns Chao Fa Pier, and the trip takes about 15 minutes. The caves are accessible only by boat, and the journey on the river in a traditional longtail boat and the visit of the caves with incredible stalactites and stalagmites make this an interesting visit. However, humanoid giants are not real and their origins are mainly found in folklore, mythologies, and fairytales from around the world. Taiwanese artist Tu Wei-cheng has created an "excavation site" in which a giant, outsized skull and bones, has been dug out of oblivion. The artwork was given special clearance to be displayed at the Khao Khanab Nam Caves.
