Let's watch two hybrid kyokushin rules Karate vs Muay Thai matches from New Zealand. First Muay Thai person used tools in his skillset that were also rules appropriate to win against Kyokushin. The second Muay Thai guy couldn't figure it out. I hope this inspires more people to enter competitations and not use the "but the rules" excuse. Also, I will show you a funny game of chess that happened last week between me and a much higher rated chess player. Let us know what martial arts lessons you learned!

One of the coolest variations to kickboxing competitions. Instead of a ring or cage setting, they put sandbangs in a ring format. There are no elbows, but knees and limited clinch is allowed. And on top of that, there is only wraps and no gloves. Let's see how a Karateka does in this.

Tai Chi Master Gu made two videos reflecting on his disappointing performance at Xu Xiaodong's gym when he tried to box a student of Xu's. Master Gu also expressed that he absolutely still believes that Tai Chi can defeat boxing. Let's analyze his reflection and also find two videos from before his challenge match, one on Tai Chi vs Mike Tyson and one on Tai Chi vs Floyd Mayweather. We also draw parallels to something Tai Chi related that we experienced in 2021. If Internal Martial Arts is supposed to be adaptable to any style, then there could be merit to some of the principles. However, not training in the proven pressure-tested styles first, and then trying to reinvent the wheel doesn't seem to be the right way to do it. I hope you enjoy this in-depth martial arts essay! Looking forward to your thoughts!
