The first video I put out on this radio a few months back got some backlash. Mostly centered around the radios lack of general 1-30mhz coverage and a lack of SSB mode.
While I felt that these are nice features, I was still please with my radio. Well, a few months have past and wow, the engineers over at Choyong stayed busy. First they added general coverage from .1 to 30mhz, then they added SSB modes to hear all the Ham coverstations. Then they updated the internet radio side of things, then they added voice search, now they have removed an issue with some of their radios that apparently caused harmonics on certain freqs. While I never had an issue with it, apparently they wanted it fixed, so they fixed it!
They also made a lot of minor updates to try and improve the AM reception, witch I find to be it's only real weakness. While still not a performer on that band, it sure is a changed radio.
I loved it when it first came out, and with these updates, I love it enough to have gone out and bought a second one with my own money. The truth is, there is no other radio out there like it at any price. The internet radio side is a constant gift of new and random stations that no regular radio could ever hope to receive.

We all know the heavy hitters of the 80's and 90's/ Uniden, Cobra, Realistic, and Midland, but also running around in the mix was Maxton. They made a lot of decent radios back in the day and also made a lot of the radios for Radio Shack as well. My first 40 channel radio, a Realistic TRC-444 was a Maxton inside.

Every year here on the channel, we tackle a building project (Or three) this year we are downsizing our critter collection to just chickens, and are moving them to a new shed so that we can rehab our 20x20 barn.
I reached out to Patiowell as I see they have some nice metal buildings. They agreed to work with us (THANKS!) and the results are in. There are a lot of videos on these sheds, but much like other items I've assembled, I have to say some of those videos overstate the difficulty in assembling these. My wife and I had it done in around 7 hours, and it wasn't back breaking work.
I am quite pleased with the build quality, the instructions and the finished product!

I thought the footage for this was lost, that's why it's so late in posting. Over the winter, we sent all our farm critters off to freezer camp and decided to change things up.
The main barn is going to be gutted, concrete poured (50 lbs at a time by me!) and the doors replaced with a rollup style.
End result? Farpoint Mowers and More will have a dedicated space. I find, fix and flip small equipment here on the farm and this will really up my game with the ability to store parts and engines for my projects.

I've played with both the orginal ATS-20 and the later ATS-25. This is a clear upgrade to both of those radios. Reception is improved, the software is less buggy, and the list of features has certainly grown.
